Tiny but perfectly formed

This was a tiny flat that had been on the market for quite some time.  At one time it had been an office situated within a block of flats.  Bit of an odd set up but the location (close to seafront and public transport) was great, it had its own front door on to the street, and it just needed a bit of a re-think to make the most of the space available.

The front door opens directly to the living room – by removing the internal lobby we created space but left a half wall to give the feeling of an entrance.

The galley kitchen had very little storage and had lost space to the bathroom when the original conversion had been carried out.  We blocked up up the kitchen window to install wall units.   The installation of a fully glazed upvc back door meant no loss of light.

We re-configured the bathroom to square off the room.  It meant losing a little space and re-routing the waste but careful planning meant we had space for a big walk-in shower and gave a valuable few inches back to the kitchen.

An easy way to create more useable space in the bedroom was to move the door – this provided a length of wall to put furniture on.  Rather than having the door in the centre of the wall, we simply moved it to the corner.
